Meghalaya school syllabus for 2020-21 likely to be reduced

SHILLONG | SEPTEMBER 2, 2020:

Meghalaya Education Department has finalised the revised syllabus for Classes X and XII.

Education Minister, Lahkmen Rymbui while speaking to reporters said, "We have already prepared the academic plan and revised the syllabus for both Class X and Class XII. The revised syllabus will highlight the topics and lessons which need to be imparted to the students during the remaining period of the current academic session."

According to him, the revised syllabus will be made available to all the schools by September 21
The minister also made it clear that the students who are visiting their respective schools will require the consent of their parents.

"The visit of the students to seek the guidance of the teachers is voluntary. No students will be allowed to visit the schools without the written consent of the parents," added Rymbui.

He also informed that the Deputy Commissioners of the respective districts has been directed that all schools or colleges which was converted as Corona Care Centres or institutional quarantine centres should be vacated by September 15.
