Meghalaya forms task force on education

SHILLONG | AUG 26, 2020:

Meghalaya Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui today said that the State Government has constituted a task force to study in detail regarding the National Education Policy(NEP), recently adopted by the Centre.

According to Rymbui, the task force will primarily focus on three aspects including integrating of the State Education Policy(SEP) with the National Education Policy(NEP) and to understand the local dynamics to address the issues which are specific to the State.

He also said that the task force will carry out in-depth details on the policy adding that it will look at the challenges in the implementation of the policy.

Further adding that the state government will ensure that there are no hiccups in the future once the State Government takes a call.
