Good days ahead for Mizoram govt employees

AIZAWL | AUGUST 9, 2020:

The finance department Mizoram said that the government will reduce the period of salary deferment of its employees from three to two years, after witnessing an improvement in the financial status of the government.

The government ordered to defer the salary of the employees due to the financial problem caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

It also granted the choice of impounding the reimbursement of the deferred salary to General Provident Fund or take it in cash.

However, in the new order, Group A, B, C, and D employees of health and police departments will be exempted from deferment.
