
Former Lieutenant Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, TV Rajeswar passed away on 13 January at Khelgaon in Delhi after prolonged illness. He was 91.
Here are five facts about TV Rajeswar:
#1. T. V. Rajeswar is a former Indian Police Service officer, former Intelligence Bureau chief and former Governor of Sikkim, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh.
#2. He served the state of Arunachal from 10 August, 1983 to 20 November, 1985.
#3. During his tenure, Tawang district was created, bifurcating Tawang subdivision of West Kameng district, on 6 October, 1984.
#4. T. V. Rajeswar was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2012.
#5. T. V. Rajeswar wrote the book titled 'The Crucial Years' which broadly gives an account of the emergency and other important events in Independent India's history.
